New Zealand Deerstalkers' Association (Hutt Valley Branch) Inc.

Branch meetings are held on the third Wednesday evening of each month. The branch has a rifle range with covered bench rest facilities in the Rimutaka Incline recreation area. The range is built to modern standards and provides shooting up to 200 yards.

Hutt Valley Clay Target Club                                                                                                    

Sited in Whitemans Valley, Upper Hutt, this is the largest and most active clay target club in the greater Wellington area. It offers all forms of competitive and social clay target shooting shooting three times each month in the most common shotgun disciplines. The Club provides coaching, practice, fun events, and competition in Down the Line (DTL), Skeet, Trench and Sporting disciplines.

Petone Rifle Club                                                                                                                      

Founded in 1890, the club is based at the Trentham Rifle Range in Upper Hutt. It promotes the community benefits of target rifle shooting to all Hutt Valley and Wellington residents by providing a pathway for personal development and the opportunity to succeed at the highest level. Club members enjoy the challenge of long range target shooting from 300 to 1000 yards.

Porirua Shooting Association                                                                                                        

The Porirua Shooting Association is the governing body that supports the local shooting clubs based at the Seivers Grove shooting range in the Porirua area. The clubs included within this body are:

The PSA has been set up to assist with any issues relating to the clubs, oversee and arrange maintenance of the range, represent the clubs at a local level with council if required. Delegates from each of the clubs make up the PSA committee.

Porirua Pistol Club                                                                                                                                  

Formed in the mid-1980's and is one of the 80+ clubs affiliated with Pistol New Zealand, operating across the country. Pistol NZ has over 80 affiliated clubs which are located in every major town and city in New Zealand. We have a total membership in excess of 3300 pistol shooters of which more than 3000 have Police issued Category B (target pistol) endorsements to their firearms licence.

This is a group of airgun owners that was originally founded in 2008 as a

hunting interests group, but has since expanded to include air gun

enthusiasts of all disciplines, ages and walks of life. As well as hosting

national and regional competitions, WAG provides useful advice and training

Wellington Service Rifle Association 

"Dedicated to the safe competitive use of military firearms"

 

Wellington Service Rifle club is one of the oldest clubs in NZ. As part of the New Zealand Service Rifle Association, WSRA provides members with advice, range officer training plus support for members to attend regional and national matches under certain criteria. Monthly shoots are held, from 50 to 500 yards, usually to a theme, covering all manner and eras of modern military rifles.

Brooklyn Smallbore Rifle Club

We are one of the fastest growing smallbore shooting clubs in Wellington, with members ranging in age from 14 to 60; from novices to former and current NZ representatives and veterans.

 

Meetings: The club shares the Royal Tiger Range while renovation plans are being finalised for the Bell Road facility. Shooting takes place on Sundays from 4.30pm. Sundays - 4.30pm - 6.00pm training session; 7.00pm - 9.30pm competition session

Are you looking for a new sport why not give Smallbore Target Shooting a go! There are many clubs around New Zealand that would be keen to help set you up with all the gear most clubs only charge you $5 per night to cover the cost of ammo!
